Our mission is to make finding church web sites easier and to offer articles to inspire and encourage your relationship with Jesus Christ. Church Bulletin Kansas City was an idea born out of frustration. In July 2003, I was looking for the web address of several churches and could not readily find them. I found the address of the churches, and driving directions to them, but I could not find the web site or who the pastor was nor what time the services started. I found that the name of the church was not necessarily the name of the web site. It was like getting lost in a town without an address. I remember thinking that someone should have a central place to find out all kinds of information about local churches -- then the thought came that I could do this project myself; so I leaped in with both feet. I found that putting up a web page was not that easy. You have to study and learn another language and you have to be detail minded. The computer has no brains and will do, or not do whatever you tell it to. (It would be nice if kids obeyed as well) Because I worked at The Way Out newspaper, (1734 East 63rd Street, Suite 508) published by Fleming and Fleming Enterprises, I erroneously thought this would be much easier than that - - - wrong! Surprise!! Once the web page was online, it has to be advertised. Why can't the site just flag down surfers as they go by? Oh Well. In order to make the church community aware of us, we are giving birth to the Church Bulletin KC Digest. (Oh my, what have I gotten myself into?) My plan is to get my first issue out in February 2004. When you get your church bulletin as you enter services this Sunday, I hope it reminds you of www.churchbulletinkc.org. I hope you enjoy our efforts and join us often to see what's new and exciting. Thank you in advance for your attention and your support.
